Manchester United have been handed major boost in their quest to sign want-away Tottenham defender Danny Rose in January.
According to report from the Metro, the North London club is willing to cash in on the left back defender in January and will offload Rose to United if they match their £45m valuation.
Rose has struggled to gain a regular play time in Mauricio Pochettino team since his return from his knee ligament injury. The Argentine boss favours Ben Davies in his left-back spot ahead of Rose.
Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the England defender and has been linked with a move for his signature in resent time.
Although Ashley Young has been doing fine on the left-back position this season, Portuguese tactician Mourinho still wants a traditional left-back defender who can stay for the long term.
Young is 32 and has few years left to play while Rose on the other hand is 27 and could still make major impact for United team for a long time.
Mourinho has constantly rotated his left-back position among Young, Matteo Darmian and Daley Darmian since his move to Old Trafford last season.
Having made just to two EPL starts for the Saint this season, Rose could fancy a move to Old Trafford to gain regular play time as the FIFA World Cup approaches.
