Following Andreas Pereira’s set piece strike on Wednesday night, United have been tweeting some of their favourite goals direct from free kicks throughout the years.
The list includes the likes of Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs and Denis Irwin.
Irwin scored a total of seven free-kicks in his time at Old Trafford, while Giggs scored 11 and Ronaldo 14.
Rooney has scored eight so far, but will be keen to make his way up the list in the years to come.
The most impressive of all, however, is free-kick master David Beckham, scoring a whopping 27 set pieces in his 11 years in the United first team.
New signing Memphis Depay will be looking to make his way in to list, scoring seven direct free-kicks in the Eredivisie last season, playing for PSV Eindhoven, which proved to be the most of any player in Europe’s biggest leagues.
