Manchester United have gotten a massive boost in their bid to sign highly rated and well sought after Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann. According to quotes attributed to the Frenchman, he will not be joining Atletico’s arcrivals Real Madrid whenever he decides to leave La liga. Punters can bet on Griezmann joining Manchester United or any other club via Warlords slot rtp. There is certainly money to be made on the prospect of this deal happening.
Manchester United have constantly been linked with the signing of the former Real Soceidad star but it was widely believed Real Madrid would hijack the deal from Manchester United should they win their appeal against a transfer ban imposed on them and Atletico Madrid but with Griezmann himself making it clear he won’t be good to Real Madrid, the coast is getting clearer for United.
‘I cannot say yes or no, otherwise I will be in the sh**,’ he said.
‘You never know what will happen in football but jumping from Atletico to Real, I do not think it is very feasible.
‘Very, very few players have done that, so I think it is dead [the idea].’
Griezmann has also been linked with Chelsea who are said to be ready to pay as much as 100 million euros to sign the highly versatile attacker. He has also been linked with a move to Arsenal but we all know the Gunners will not sign him due to the amount of money that they will need to pay. Unless Wenger leaves or the club change their policy in the transfer market, we can rule out the Gunners from the race.
Griezmann himself has confirmed a number of times that he will like to play with his France national team mate Paul Pogba at club level which could work in United’s favour.
The presence of Paul Pogba at Old Trafford could help Manchester United win the race for the signature of Griezmann. However the bigger hurdle is convincing the Frenchman to leave Spain. He has confirmed he will leave should Diego Simeone leaves and from all indication, the Argentine will not leave Atletico Madrid any time soon. Although there has been rumours that he could be on his way to his former club Inter Milan in the summer, I sincerely think those reports are mere rumours.
Another problem is the transfer ban FIFA have imposed on Atletico Madrid. Should the club fail in their appeal against the ban, they will be very unlikely to sell any of their key players in the summer.
