Manchester United were in more than a good mood on Friday afternoon during their training session at Carrington, in preparation for the home fixture on Saturday afternoon against the out of form Sunderland.
Training had taken place before Louis van Gaal’s press conference on Friday morning, and with two wins on the bounce for the boss, it is evident that the whole squad are all in good spirits. Great news for this weekend, with a 3pm kick-off at home.
Sunderland travel to Old Trafford in some really poor form, with many of the bookies not giving them much hope, it will be hard to look past Anthony Martial not getting on the scoresheet once again.
There were a few absentees from training, and that will miss this weekends fixture. Marcos Rojo, Paddy McNair and Luke Shaw are all out, with Shaw out until the end of the season but the good news is, he has now started his rehabiliation.
LVG said this on regards to injuries: “We have three injuries – Rojo, Shaw and Paddy McNair, it’s the same and we have to wait to see how the players recover because there are only two days between the two matches. Until now I don’t know how I’ll put the line-up.”
