PICTURE: Luke Shaw Shows He’s Up & About On Crutches

The road to recovery could prove to be an extremely long and trecherous one for United’s young left back Luke Shaw.

In the first Champions League group stage game against PSV Eindhoven, Shaw was chopped down by Hector Moreno in a last ditch attempt to stop the young Englishman getting a shot away on goal.

The tackle resulted in a double fracture to Shaw’s right leg, ruling him out for most of the season.

Shaw had proved to be in invaluable form for Louis van Gaal’s side, playing every minute of the season up until the disastrous injury.

Shaw has previously posted pictures from his hospital in Eindhoven, and other pictures have leaked online of his horrific looking scars following two operations on his injury.

But after Louis van Gaal’s explanation that Shaw has started his rehabilitation, United fans will be pleased to see the teenager is up and about on crutches.

Let’s hope Shaw is back on the pitch later this season, hopefully maintaining the stellar performances he had displayed in the opening games.

Long road ahead but so happy to be able to put weight on my leg again! ? #MUFC
