Off To Old Trafford? £350,000/Week Superstar Could Join Manchester United Soon

When Real Madrid want a particular player, they don’t mind at what cost and what player is sacrificed in order to get who they want. And it seems the same scenario is about to play out again this summer. This is even as reports claim Real Madrid are still very hopeful of signing Kylian Mbappe this summer from AS Monaco.

With Alvaro Morata sold to Chelsea, Real Madrid only have Karim Benzema, 29, and Asensio as their striking options. This situation is reportedly not ideal for Zidane who wants to add Mbappe to his attack. But before Los Blancos can sign Mbappe, one player has to leave in order to fund the world record deal. To Sign Mbappe, Madrid will reportedly spend as much as £160m, a world record breaking deal.

Bale reportedly earns upward of £350,000 a week which although is unlikely to be a problem for United, it will be a problem for Madrid if they are also going to be adding Mbappe to their wage bill hence the report claims he will be sold to bring in Mbappe.

And this is where it gets interesting for Manchester United. One of the players who have been named as likely candidate to leave in order for Madrid to sign Mbappe is Gareth Bale. Bale has in the last few years been constantly linked with a move to Manchester United and should Madrid be serious in their bid to sign Mbappe, we could all of a sudden finally have a chance of signing the former Tottenham star.

According to reports Real Madrid will tell Jose Mourinho he is free to bid for Bale as they intend to move for Mbappe. Although ordinarily Madrid can afford to keep Bale and still sign Mbappe but the report claims they have to let the Welshman go in order not to fall foul of UEFA FFP laws.

It however remains to be seen if Jose Mourinho still needs Bale and if he still does who will he sacrifice in order to get his man. My guess would be Anthony Martial but what do I know?
