MATCH REPORT: Altrincham 0-5 Manchester United

Manchester United’s reserves played their second match in just two-days after a goalless draw away to Southport on Tuesday evening, the second games was more of a goal-fest, with the visitors smashing 5 goals past Altrincham at the J. Davidson Stadium, including a 35-yard screamer from Davide Petrucci.

Manchester United started the game down at Moss Lane well, with early shots from Saidy Janko and Davide Petrucci.

It was not long until United had their first goal of the game, James Wilson, playing with a broken finger, scoring a poachers goal in the 28th minute, meeting a cross from the in form Andreas Pereira.

For the rest of the first half Manchester United had much of the play, in the 41st minute Davide Petrucci picked up ball 35-yards-out, looked left and right to pick a pass out, with no closing down Altrincham, the United midfielder decided to have a shot, one that fired right into the top corner to make it 2-0.

After the 15-minute break, Manchester United moved up a gear – It was not long until Davide Petrucci had his second of the night with a fantastic chip over the Altrincham keeper.

It was 4-0 in the 74th minute after a glancing header from Paddy McNair before young Callum Evans added a 5th in the 84th minute, rounding off a fantastic performance for the young reds.

Manchester United’s next reserve fixture is against Barnsley away on Tuesday night.

    This is what we were waiting for last season ,But now we are in the wining poll now. I beg all the players to sow to the world that M U is not dead like what other people are thinking.
