Jose Mourinho has given young defender Axel Tuanzebe an opportunity to leave the club on loan in search of a regular play time.
The Portuguese tactician made the claim while speaking to the press after United 3-0 thump over Stoke City in yesterday’s Premier League game.
“Today I had Rojo and Lindelof on the bench and Bailly still recovering so I am not giving Axel the chances. Said Mourinho.
“Axel is the only one I open the door for him to go and play because he is a really good talent and he needs to play.
“The numbers we have, we are playing Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup so we need to keep the numbers we have.”
Although the Portuguese tactician failed to mention any potential suitor for Tuanzebe signature but report according to the Express claims that Championship side Aston Villa looks to be the front runners for the 20-year old signature.
The England Under-21 defender is highly rated by Mourinho – who is reluctant to sanction loan move for him due to injury concerns of first team players.
Tuanzebe, a product of United academy has only feature three times for United first team this season.
A loan move for the second half of the season could actually be the best for the player to gain experience and more play time.
