Finally, Arsene Wenger Comments On Alexis Sanchez Potential Switch To Old Trafford, Claims It’s Beneficial To The Club

Shocking report broke out of the English press on Thursday claiming Manchester United have tabled a £25m bid for Alexis Sanchez signature.

Manchester City were initially leading the race for the Chilean signature but United joined the race on Wednesday and made an offer to Arsenal to hijack the deal from the Citizens.

Now Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has claimed that such bidding war between the two Manchester clubs is beneficial to Arsenal who can take advantage of the situation and possibly increase their fee for Sanchez services.

“I cannot say much more about the situation,” Wenger said on United’s interest.

“Nothing is concrete at the moment.

“I don’t want to give you wrong information. Nothing is decided.”

When asked about a potential bidding war between City and United, Wenger said: “It is always beneficial to the club who can take advantage

“I maintain what I have said many times that he should stay until the end of the season. But we will see.”

“If I was a player, I would stay where I am with 100 percent commitment!”
Wenger, though, is not questioning Sanchez’s commitment.

“I don’t question his passion,” the Arsenal boss added

“He wants to win and is committed.

“I have had many conversations with him and talked about people observing him.

“I have never questioned his professional attitude. He is always committed and never had any problem with that.”

The South American contract with the Gunners expires next summer and the 29-year old forward has made known to the club he won’t be extending his stay at Emirate stadium and wants to leave for a new challenge.

Pep Guardiola wants a reunion with his former player at Etihad and want him to serve as cover for injured Gabriel Jesus.
