Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi admits he will ponder on any reasonable bid that comes his way after media reports claimed the Argentine striker was to set to be approached over a massive-money move to Premier League giant Chelsea.
The striker has emerged as one of manager Maurizio Sarri’s top transfer targets at Stamford bridge, with the West London club seemingly set to back him in the January transfer window and keep the side upwardly mobile.
Chelsea have been brilliant under the tutelage of the Italian tactician so far this league season, but have, some times, looked toothless upfront, with neither Spain international striker Alvaro Morata or France international forward Olivier Giroud holding down a regular Number 9 spot.
As per an Italian sport publication Tuttosport, the former Napoli boss has placed the South American striker at the top of his transfer wish list, with a move for in-form Genoa forward Krzysztof Piatek also in his thoughts.
Maurio Icardi has also been linked with 20 times English champions Manchester United and European giants Real Madrid, and the deadly forward admits he will now “evaluate” any offer that is put on the table for his service.
Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho has stressed the importance of signing top quality players, so as to compete favourably with European big guns.
Mauro Icardi told famous radio station Radio Onda Cero that there are a number of transfer speculations. He said when approaches come himself and his team will evaluate them, but stated clearly that he is very delighted at Inter Milan right now.
