Welshman Gareth Bale to Premier League giant Manchester United could finally be a reality after what looks like years of transfer rumour.
The Wales international attacker’s future at the Santiago Bernabeu looks very bleak after a major dip in form this term, though the former Tottenham star remains one of Europes most sought-after attacking players.
Numerous reports claim Real Mdrid would now accept £85million for Gareth Bale, with Don Balon recently suggesting both Liverpool and Manchester United had tabled ‘attractive’ bids for him.
And the latest speculations emanating from Spain now suggest the Real star is set to snub other English sides to focus on joining the Red Devils.
There has also been a lot of discussion of the 29-year-old superstar joining West London club Chelsea as part of any deal for Belgium international forward Eden Hazard, but it’s suggested his preference would be to transfer to Old Trafford.
The Red Devils could surely do with attacking reinforcement of his calibre, with Chile international forward Alexis Sanchez struggling since linking up with the club last year January.
Meanwhile, England international forward Marcus Rashford has recently switched successfully from being a winger to becoming a number 9 and getting regular playing time in the centre-forward role.
Gareth Bale’s speed and threat in front of goal make him a perfect addition to give this Manchester United club upfront.
It remains to be discovered, however, if United will be ready to pay as much as £85million for him at this point of his football career after a dip in form and some injury worries.
