Former Ireland star Eamon Dunphy has told Paul Pogba to sign for Arsenal because he is not good enough for United.
Dunphy made the comment while addressing Pogba’s performance against Premier League defending Champions Chelsea.
The powerful box-to-box midfielder has been a major topic in the English press in recent weeks due to rumoured rift between him and his boss Jose Mourinho.
Pogba poor run of form has come under criticism and report now links him with an exit from Old Trafford in the summer.
The 24-year old rejoined Manchester United from Juventus in a club record fee of £93m in 2016.
Former Ireland man is yet to be convinced that the French star can be the man to lead United’s midfield, jokingly stating he should move to Arsenal.
“Lukaku did his stuff again and he did it in a big way as he scored a goal and made a goal, but Pogba was pretty awful,” Dunphy said on RTE’s 2fm Game On via the Express
“He was faffing around in midfield throwing his leg over…the ball I mean! He’s just no good.
“He should sign for Arsenal just to complete the comedy.”
The Red Devils returns to action on Monday night as they take on Crystal Palace in a Premier League game at Selhurst Park.
The £290,000-a-week star is expected to start the match after Mourinho restored him to starting line-up in 2-1 victory over Chelsea on Sunday.
